Mayson is a three sport athlete, that could likely play at the next level in any of the three sports and he's just as positionally flexible on the diamond or court as he is on the field. Mayson has had everything an athlete can have thrown at him in his face over his three years of high school football. After starting on Varsity his freshman year and playing RB and Defense, he was then tasked with taking over the offense as a QB his Sophomore season under his second Head Coach in two years. Although not a natural QB he made the most of his opportunities and kept his team in games for the better part of three quarters most weeks. His Junior season started rough with a dislocated elbow to his non-throwing arm that kept him off the offense for the first 6 weeks of the season. However he ended it on a high note becoming just shy of the teams leading rusher and their best QB after playing just three games that season, and leading his team, despite missing more than half of their starting offensive line, to their first victory in over 3 seasons in week 9. The film shows that Mayson truly is an Athlete in every sense of the term, he's got the size, speed, vision, and playmaking ability that coaches love. If he would have continued at RB he likely would be one of the most talked about in the state, but that isn't the situation he's in. He also is by far one of Michigan's best kept secrets in terms of a Punter. Mayson will play at the next level its just a matter of what school has the best plan for him, this young man can play RB, WR, TE, QB, DE, LB, CB, S, P pick one or pick them all he is a weapon. His senior season is going to look different in one way shape or form as he'll be starting the year under his 3rd Head Coach in 4 Seasons, were excited to watch this young Athlete really show out after getting that elusive win finally grasped.
